Lars Nootbaar has officially embarked on a new chapter in his career.
After six seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, the 28-year-old outfielder made his debut for the Arizona Diamondbacks just two days after being acquired by the desert-based team in a trade-deadline deal. Under the terms of the agreement, the Cardinals received pitching prospects Daniel Eagen and Sandro Santana, along with a player to be named later.
Although his departure from the Cardinals came as a surprise, Nootbaar quickly demonstrated a readiness to integrate into his new environment.
